Just press Command+ Alt+ F to open the Find and Replace dialog in most apps-and typically you'll see a search bar in the top of your app instead of the Windows-style popover. Want to simply remove all the items you found? Leave the Replace field blank and click the Replace all button, and the app will delete all the items it found and replace them with nothing-something that works in almost every app with a Find and Replace tool.
